2 plus 2

2 girls + 2 double ear infections = 2 tired to post. I know that didn't make sense mathematically, but you get the point.

  1. Wowsers. That must be hard Eeka. Hope your food challenge is still going okay amongst the crazyness. Guess you really have to prove that you won't eat them since the desserts/ comfort foods are probably more comforting to you this week with all the extra energy used on caring for the girls.

  2. Have you tried infusing olive oil with garlic? It works AMAZINGLY well for our kiddos: Crush a clove of garlic, pour a little olive oil over it. Put in microwave on HIGH for 30 sec. Rub behind ears and down side of throat. Have child lie down on each side for 10 min. Put a couple drops of oil in the ear that is facing up. Then do the same to the other side. Give the child a nice dose of infant Tylenol and put her down for a nap. She should wake up transformed! (at least, Jack did last weekend... when he woke up screaming with an earache, I knew the hassle that was ahead if I tried going to the doctor here on the weekend, so I went online and looked up home remedies.) Turns out garlic has powerful antibiotic properties, and the body responds to it even more quickly than to traditional antibiotics! I hope you don't ever need this information again, but just in case...

  3. Thanks for the tips!
