The first ever Farwell Girls' Trip with the kids!
April 12-14. Anita, IA.
First stop...Hearthside. Everyone pick out a treat.
Second stop...Nebraska City. A cafe and the whispering wall.
The cop at the cafe made friends with the girls. :)
We drove not long after the flooding in Nebraska. Hwy. 75 was packed. We were able to see some of the flooding along the way.
Arrived at the cabin in Anita. The Iowa Farwells just beat us there.
The kids organized a War bracket. Grandma was the winner.
Katie organized a craft for the kids.
Horses were nearby. They were enormous.
We had deer grazing in the mornings.
The kids put together a skit to do at Grandpa's 65th birthday a couple of weeks later. They took this very seriously and practiced hard.
There was a pond and Lake Anita State Park nearby.
Let the record show that Chinese food was partaken of on a Farwell trip. We knew if it was ever to happen, it was going to have to be without the men. :)
Hair crimping and 80s music Saturday night!
Six Mile Cafe on the way home...including cones.
This was so special and memorable. The girls kept asking when we would do it again. :)
