Summer Nights in Bern

There are not many places I'd rather be than on the front porch with these two special people.  The view of cattle grazing as the sun descends behind the hill is a humbling and peaceful sight.
During this visit, we enjoyed summer evenings outside, listening to the changes as dusk approached.
 With June comes fireflies!
There was a gorgeous full moon that lit the sky the first night, as kids slept on the playset.  Grandma told them that if they made it all night outside, she would make pancakes for breakfast "in the shape of the moon." :)  They did make it all night and enjoyed counting the different animals they heard in the dark....owls, pigs, dogs, crickets, coyotes, frogs, and more.
I guess some other pancake shapes were allowed as well.
Grandma's getting fancy with her pancake skills!
Malia had her first go behind the wheel and did great!
We also squeezed in a June Birthday Cafe for Ez and Dean.
Ezra was quite smitten with his tackle box from Grandma and Grandpa.  Little did he know a fishing pole was coming soon.

Great play and great rest.
And my favorite pop for refreshment.  I can always count on it being in the fridge when we visit.
